What’s the Brisbane public transport like?
Brisbane’s buses, trains, trams and ferries are run by TransLink who provide timetables, status updates and journey planners on their website.
We recommend investing ina GoCard from TransLink. It is an electronic ticket that lets you ride on their network of bus, train, ferry and tram services. It’s cheaper than buying paper tickets and you can top up your card before travelling and then simply swipe your card at the beginning and end of journeys to automatically deduct your fare.

What are the Brisbane shopping hours?
Generally shops open from 9am to 5pm Monday - Sunday in the CBD and 9am to 5pm Monday to Friday, 10am - 4pm Saturday/Sunday in suburban shopping centres. Many shops stay open later on Friday night - until 9pm.
Supermarket shopping hours vary, many inner city supermarkets stay open very late or sometimes 24 hours.
